Note: Benefits may vary based on position type and/or level *Job Summary* As an LVAD Coordinator RN, you'll be a certified part of our healthcare team, coordinating patient care. You will manage evaluations, admissions, and discharges for LVAD patients. Using the nursing process, you'll assess conditions, create care plans, evaluate responses, and track outcomes. *Essential Functions of the Role* * Prioritize patient and family needs before implementing care plans. * You'll evaluate nursing practices regularly and advocate for changes based on research evidence when needed. * Your role involves managing patient discomfort, alleviating suffering, promoting healing, and preventing pain. This requires both emotional and physical care. * It is important to protect patients' confidentiality, dignity, and rights. * You will help others learn by providing education to patients, families, and the community to improve care. * You will work with others to create and follow care plans, promoting teamwork and common goals. * In your role, problem-solving and efficient resource use show your systems thinking skills are crucial. *Key Success Factors* * You need a deep knowledge and skill in nursing, specifically for long-term mechanical heart support devices. * Managing patient care with ventricular assist devices is vital. * Educating staff and caregivers on device use is also crucial. * Good communication and teamwork are key assets. *Belonging Statement* We believe that all people should feel welcomed, valued and supported, and that our workforce should be reflective of the communities we serve. * Associate's degree. * Minimum (2) two years in relevant field. * RN License * BLS or must obtain within 30 days of being hired.
