IU Health Fort Wayne Outpatient Surgery Center is located near I-69 & W Jefferson Blvd in Fort Wayne. The 40,000 sq. ft surgery center includes 5 fully equipped operating rooms, 5 procedure rooms, and overnight capabilities. We are currently hiring a RN Specialty Coordinator to support the Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU.
Schedule: Monday-Friday; day shift.

Position Overview:
- Coordinate a care service line for a high-acuity patient population within the department
- Conduct extensive assessments and exercise clinical judgment on physiological health care
- Monitor patient status and develop appropriate care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Serve as a clinical expert and strong unit leader, supporting unit and system leadership activities
- Apply advanced clinical knowledge of the specialty; required to scrub and/or circulate
- Develop a core curriculum for the service line in partnership with the clinical educator and system education team
- Oversee orientation for new staff and ongoing staff education and program evaluation within the service line
- Act as a role model, resource person, and member of the management team
- Ensure all activities align with the organization's Mission and Vision
Qualifications:
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
