Description
Southeast - Remote but must live in territoryThe Regional Sales Manager is accountable for driving 'net-new' revenue growth within an assigned territory through aggressive prospecting, new account development, and competitive displacement. This role is squarely focused on new business acquisition, specification capture, and early engagement on long-cycle industrial and architectural projects. The position owns regional new-business revenue outcomes and is compensated primarily through performance-based commissions. By expanding market presence, influencing specifications, and coordinating cross-functionally, the role builds and advances a robust pipeline that fuels sustained revenue growth, without direct responsibility for order execution.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
New Revenue Performance (45%)
- New-business revenue attainment versus quota
- Number of new accounts acquired
- Year-over-year growth from new customers
- Competitive takeaways or conversions
- Territory Win rate (2030%)
Pipeline Creation & Coverage (25%)
- Total pipeline value generated (4X orders goal)
- New opportunities created per month
- Specification or basis-of-design wins generated
- Speed-to-quote and opportunity activation
- Qualified opportunities must meet defined criteria such as identified timeline, budget range, decision-maker contact, or specification potential
Market & Account Expansion (20%)
- Penetration of targeted vertical markets
- New architect, GC, owner, or end-user relationships established
- Distributor or rep-driven new opportunities
- Strategic project pursuits initiated
- Educational or engagement events conducted (lunch-and-learns, CEUs, site visits)
Activity & Process Discipline (10%)
- Prospecting cadence (meetings, discovery calls, site visits)
- CRM accuracy and opportunities (target: 95%)
- Forecast accuracy on late-stage deals (±10%)
Qualifications:
