Detroit Defense is seeking a Project Administrator to provide comprehensive project support, coordination, and administrative oversight at our customer location in Warren, MI. The Project Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of project activities by managing schedules, budgets, logistics, and documentation. This position requires a proactive professional with strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to keep projects on track.
The Project Administrator will support project staff by facilitating day-to-day operations, recording and tracking meeting minutes and action items, and assisting in the preparation of project plans and presentations. Responsibilities include performing editorial and quality assurance support for project deliverables, supporting earned value management, and contributing to configuration management, data management, and risk management activities. The role may also involve partnering with customers to organize and manage project-related events.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working with diverse project requirements, practices, and procedures. Success in this role requires sound judgment, a strong sense of accountability, and the ability to effectively balance multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and administrative tasks
- Record meeting minutes, track action items, and follow up with stakeholders
- Assist in developing project plans, reports, and presentations
- Provide editorial, formatting, and quality assurance support for deliverables
- Support project management functions including configuration management, data management, and risk management
- Track budgets and assist with earned value management reporting
- Facilitate project logistics and event planning in collaboration with staff and customers
- Maintain project documentation in compliance with organizational standards
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an applicable field of study or equivalent experience
- A Minimum of four years of professional experience with a bachelors degree or eight years of relevant experience without a degree
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and a United States Government Security Clearance. Current Secret clearance preferred
- Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and logistics
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with configuration management, data management, and risk management principles
- Manage and track training and tasking requirements for a 100-person organization
- Ability to support earned value management and budget tracking activities
- Proficiency in document preparation, editorial review, and presentation development
- Strong ability to work across engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
