GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for leading 50+ employees in the production and testing of a variety of complex cable assemblies. The production of what may seem like an unimportant cannon plug connector is the link between aircraft or ground vehicle systems that propels us forward to bigger and better accomplishments. As a production supervisor, you will be leading the electrical manufacturing efforts working with talented and dedicated individuals tasked with promoting positivity and making a difference each day.
Must be ready to play an active role on the floor working with the assemblers, technicians, floor leads, and engineering while supporting manufacturing schedules, quality expectations, and budget.
DUTIES
Provide effective leadership and direction to all assigned employees.
Manage employee performance, discipline, development, and recourse planning.
Understand each employee's knowledge, skills and abilities in order to leverage performance, on time delivery, quality, and efficiency.
Facilitate team leader workflow management, workforce scheduling, and team member placement.
Ensure production methodology and processes (quality, safety, productivity, etc,) are maintained and remain compliant.
Maintain and coordinate employee job related training to include: certifications, cross-training schedule and company required training.
Coach and provide technical expertise to resolve production issues.
Implement and sustain corrective actions as required.
Utilize problem solving techniques, teamwork building strategies, process controls and continuous process improvement tools to achieve goals.
Conduct, lead, or implement process audits to minimize or eliminate process deviations and non-conforming product root causes.
Develop, analyze, and present reports, including but not limited to forecasts, productivity and safety.
Responsible for maintaining adherence to company policies, safety standards, and departmental practices.
Maintain high standards of work performance and correct behavior as required.
Foster and maintain a positive level of morale in the department.
Other Duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of electrical manufacturing experience is required.
Minimum of 3 of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Demonstrated strong leadership skills accompanied by well versed communication techniques applicable to all levels of employee in order to create a successful team.
J-STD-001 and/or IPC-620 Certification is a plus.
Knowledge of continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma, Lean and 5S.
Must be computer proficient in Windows, Excel and MS Word. Experience with Deltek CostPoint and SharePoint is a plus.
Must be willing to work flexible schedules when necessary to meet customer deadlines

Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces and sit for extended periods of time.
On occasion must be able to lift 35 pounds.
Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders.
Works in a manufacturing environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions.
