Overview
Are you a senior systems professional who thrives in high-tempo, mission-critical environments? Do you bring both deep technical expertise and the discipline required to drive complex modernization efforts to completion? DLH is seeking a PITCO Project Coordinator to support the execution of Pre-Installation, Test, and Check Out (PITCO) for Navy C4I modernization initiatives, including CANES and other TACNET platforms.
In this role, you will operate at the center of technical execution, ensuring systems are properly configured, secured, compliant, and fully prepared for operational deployment. You will translate engineering intent into disciplined execution and align configuration, documentation, cybersecurity, and schedule performance to deliver operationally ready capability. This is a high-visibility role where precision, accountability, and sound technical judgment directly impact mission success.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced systems administration support for TACNET and Navy C4I environments, including workstation, file server, and web server operations.
- Coordinate hardware and software installations, upgrades, patching, and account management to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain and monitor system configurations in accordance with cybersecurity and Navy technical standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues, including firewall, antivirus, and intrusion detection platforms.
- Develop and maintain execution schedules and track technical milestones supporting PITCO modernization efforts.
- Prepare and manage technical documentation, reports, and internal tracking artifacts that support compliance and quality standards.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures, safety guidance, and quality control processes.
- Facilitate technical meetings, track action items, and ensure disciplined follow-through across functional teams.
- Identify technical risks and configuration discrepancies and coordinate corrective action.
- Provide technical guidance to team members and support users as required.
Qualifications
- This position is primarily local; however, candidates must be willing to support occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel in support of shipboard or shore-based PITCO activities as mission requirements dictate.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related accredited discipline.
- Seven (7) years of professional systems administration experience with a Master's degree OR Eleven (11) years of professional systems administration experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- Daily operational support of computer network systems
- Installation and maintenance of hardware and software
- Systems upgrades and account administration
- Implementation and maintenance of network security tools including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems
- Monitoring system configuration for hardware and software
- Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated technical experience supporting TACNET or other Navy C4I systems.
- Must meet Cybersecurity Workforce requirements in accordance with DoD 8140 and 8570 within nine (9) months of assignment.
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance required. Must maintain clearance eligibility for the duration of employment.
