- Pine Canyon Camp Supervisor
Description
The Camp Supervisor will collaborate with the Recreation Manager and Director of Recreation to develop and execute well-rounded, age-appropriate childcare programming designed to meet Pine Canyon standards and values. The Supervisor will lead their team of camp counselors to success by overseeing off-property excursions, daily check in/check-out, specialty camps/clinics, and daily activities while ensuring the health and well being of campers and staff. This position will assist the Recreation Manager in oversight of the Camp Pine Canyon building operations, ensuring all member and guest services including rackets and pool operations are pristinely maintained and requests handled efficiently. The Camp Supervisor will exhibit Pine Canyon’s 5 Star Service Guidelines as a representative of Camp Pine Canyon, effectively communicated with members, team, and campers.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Recreation Manager to plan and define the program according to camp goals
Coordinate daily camp activities while collaborating with the Recreation Manager, adjusting programs in the moment as needed (i.e. weather)
Act as a positive mentor for Camp Pine Canyon team, offering leadership and guidance to align with Pine Canyon standards and values
Assistance in oversight/operation of Camp Pine Canyon facilities- including building, racket courts, sport courts, and pools
Welcomes guests to Camp Pine Canyon in a warm and friendly manner while performing standard hospitality duties including answering phone calls/emails promptly
Complete billing procedures accurately and in a timely manner
Greet and record guests and members using Camp Pine Canyon facilities sign in sheets
Know camper’s location at all times
Oversee efficient and organized camper arrival and departure routines
Ensuring safe practices and a healthy camp environment for campers and team by following outlined Camp Pine Canyon policies and procedures
Help provide an atmosphere for developing good morale and well-being among the Camp Pine Canyon Staff
Maintains Camp Pine Canyon facilities up to Pine Canyon standards
Comes prepared, put together, and sets a positive tone for the day through pre-camp meetings
Problem-solve through situations and seek assistance from Recreation Manager when necessary
Be punctual, organized, and participate enthusiastically
Embodies and implements Camp Pine Canyon goals, policies, and procedures
Perform all other assigned duties
Requirements
Minimum 2+ years in childcare setting required
Private club experience preferred
Has experience working directly with children aged 3-12 years old
Has the desire and ability to work with children in an indoor and outdoor setting
Proven leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills
Ability to plan, organize, and carry out daily and special programs
Ability to supervise staff and campers
Ability to accept guidance and supervision from leadership
Ability to interact with members easily and exuberantly
Knowledge of the Pine Canyon Club is an asset
CPR/1stAide training (recommended but we also offer training to complete)
