Job Description
The Wealth Sales Incentive Computation Analyst is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely computation, validation, and reporting of sales incentive payouts for the Wealth business. The role requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and a good understanding of data handling to ensure incentive calculations are aligned with approved business rules, performance measures, and governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc incentive computations for Wealth sales teams in accordance with approved incentive schemes and business guidelines.
- Extract, consolidate, validate, and reconcile sales performance data from multiple sources to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Apply complex Excel formulas to calculate incentive payouts, adjustments, clawbacks, and exception cases.
- Conduct detailed checks to identify data discrepancies, missing inputs, duplicate records, or unusual payout variances.
- Prepare incentive computation files, summary reports, and supporting analyses for review and approval.
- Liaise with stakeholders including Sales, Finance, HR, Product, and Business Performance teams to clarify incentive rules, resolve data issues, and support payout-related queries.
- Maintain proper documentation of computation logic, assumptions, changes, approvals, and audit trails.
- Support process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control in the incentive computation process.
- Assist in automation initiatives using Excel macros or other tools where applicable.
- Ensure all incentive computations are completed within agreed timelines and in compliance with internal controls and governance standards.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IF statements, pivot tables, data validation, and conditional formatting.
- Ability to work with large datasets and perform detailed reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data or calculations.
- Good communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders and explain computation outcomes clearly.
- Ability to manage deadlines, handle confidential payout information, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of Excel macros/VBA to support automation and process efficiency.
- Prior experience in sales incentive computation, performance management, sales analytics, finance operations, HR compensation, or business reporting.
- Familiarity with Wealth products, sales KPIs, compensation structures, and governance controls would be an advantage.
