- Maintenance Supervisor
Description
The Baldwin City Recreation Commission is looking for someone ready to take the next step in their career at an organization that is continuously evolving. You will work with one other Maintenance Supervisor who will take responsibility for the upkeep of all baseball, softball, soccer and football fields at all USD 348 sports facilities. Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintains park property including mowing, trimming, litter pick-up, weeding, and watering
- Maintains trees and horticultural displays through planting, soil amendments, weeding, and watering
- Maintains equipment and vehicles to include preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Operates a wide variety of equipment.
- Carries out a wide range of park construction and repair projects
- Conducts inspections for safety equipment, facilities, parks, etc.
- Reports facility and ground concerns or issues to the Assistant Recreation Director or Recreation Director
- Carries out a wide range of turf, horticulture tasks, and field maintenance at all athletic facilities
- Completes chemical applications on turf areas to include all athletic facilities and public spaces, etc.
- Monitors and maintains all irrigation systems and related equipment
- Conducts minor plumbing and electrical repairs
- Assists in the maintenance and repair of Baldwin City Recreation Commission and USD 348 facilities
- Performs custodial duties as required
- General water maintenance at the aquatic facility
- Helps direct, train and supervise seasonal, part-time maintenance staff
- Completes daily reports used to measure performance and efficiency
- Provides logistics support to recreation programs and special events as assigned
- Performs other related duties as deemed necessary or as required
Requirements
High school diploma or GED supplemented by one-year experience in semi-skilled maintenance or construction, and/or operation of equipment, similar to that of the assignment or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, ability and skill. Possession of a valid Kansas drivers license.
