Position Information

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience

- At least 2 years of experience in Study Abroad
The International Education Operations Coordinator will provide operations support for faculty study abroad program directors, coordination support for CAES Study Abroad Programming Committee, and support and back-up for CAES Office of International Programs faculty and staff. This position will have primary responsibility for outward-facing and inward-facing UGA StudyAway Portal for CAES International Education Program Portfolio (includes faculty-led study abroad, exchange, and independent experiences. It will also manage the New Study Abroad Program Proposal Process and the annual Program Planning Process for existing faculty-led programs on behalf of CAES. This position involves domestic travel for professional development opportunities and/or for logistical coordination of CAES International Programs and international travel to join at least one CAES study abroad program per year.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
- Knowledge of UGA Study Away policies and protocols
- Significant experience with StudyAway portal/Terra Dotta and Athena
- Familiarity with OneSource Financials, COMPASS, VRS, and ARGOS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of relevant computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Adobe, and Canva
- Attention to Detail
- Strong interpersonal skills willingness to provide great customer service
- Strong ability to manage multiple competing tasks and projects
- Sitting for long periods of time at a desk or computer
- Lift 10 pounds
- Driving as needed to perform job duties

UGA Study Away Portal Support and Management
- Manage outward-facing UGA StudyAway Portal brochure components for CAES study abroad programs (faculty-led, exchange, and independent experiences)
- Support CAES faculty directors with student application management processes and tasks
- Conduct enrollment data reporting activities including application status updates, participant program reviews, and participant/program demographics
New Program Proposal and Existing Program Reapproval Process Support and Coordination
- Provide support for CAES faculty directors throughout the process for developing and proposing new faculty-led study abroad programs
- Support CAES faculty directors through the annual program planning (reapproval) process for existing study abroad programs
- Coordinate an internal CAES process for review and approval of new study abroad program proposals
- Coordinate an internal CAES process for review and approval of annual CAES study abroad program planning (reapproval)
Coordinate and Support CAES Study Abroad Program Planning Committee
- Oversee committee meetings, agendas, and reporting
- Coordinate biannual faculty-director luncheons
- Coordinate internal process for faculty travel funding requests
- Serve as primary point of contact for current and potential CAES faculty directors
- Provide programs with UGA/CAES materials during programs (UGA flags, study abroad t-shirts, CAES promotional materials for hosts)
Support CAES Office of International Programs
- Collect and conduct basic analysis of annual CAES data (international research & publications, immigration, international students & scholars, etc.)
- Provide backup for OIP Business Manager
Support CAES Office of Academic & Faculty Affairs
- Create student applicant reports as needed for targeted recruitments
- Provide annual program information for recruitment material generation and programmatic direction strategy discussions
- Manage content changes/updates to CAES Study Abroad webpages to maintain accuracy and consistency with StudyAway Portal
