We are seeking a full-time experienced Industrial Mechanic & Safety Coordinator at our North Bergen, NJ facility to take on maintenance and repair of equipment as well as responsibility for safety monitoring and enforcement.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and perform corrective repairs and preventative maintenance on machines and equipment used in injection molding and commercial sauce manufacturing (e.g., processing vessels, kettles, mixers, pumps, conveyors, filling machines, packaging equipment).
Diagnose mechanical, electrical issues, hydraulic, and pneumatic.
Repair or replace defective machine parts such as pumps, valves, cylinders, heaters, sensors, screws, and bearings.
Maintain and service facility utilities including dryers, chillers, material conveying systems, robots, grinders, temperature control units, boilers, air compressors, and water systems.
Complete maintenance logs, PM records, and work orders accurately.
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices
Investigate safety incidents and promote a strong safety culture throughout the facility.

Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
3–5+ years of experience as an industrial mechanic or maintenance technician
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems; strong understanding of electrical systems is a must.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and machine manuals.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a standing, industrial environment.
Working Conditions
Full-time position; may require overtime or on-call support.
Exposure to industrial noise, moving machinery, and resin processing environments.
Required use of PPE and adherence to all safety policies.
