Andaz Miami Beach is now recruiting Housekeeping Supervisor to join the hotel's opening team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. The property boasts 287 guestrooms including 64 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. The design features elements of texture, art, and pops of color that create a unique and captivating experience. Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, most with deep-soaking tubs, and cozy reading nooks. Guests can also enjoy private outdoor terraces with stunning views of the Atlantic and the Miami skyline. Unmatched amenities include a full-service spa, a well-equipped fitness center, a destination dining experience by José Andrés, two pools, and a Beach Club catering to the who's who of Miami. Position Summary


The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the entire housekeeping area. This requires a solid understanding of housekeeping and will assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed. Experience with turndown service, special needs of VIP Guests, foreign dignitaries, etc. is helpful. These responsibilities may also include staff training, development and scheduling. The Housekeeping Supervisor will promote an atmosphere that insures customer and associate satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper and requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, other departments and team members.

Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions
• Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness on a daily basis.
• Prepares and distributes the Room assignment sheet and floor keys.
• Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence.
• Train associates on cleanliness standards aligned to achieving Cleanliness goal.
• Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job.
• Respond to customer complaints and special requests with corrective action.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock. Stocks and maintains supply rooms orders supplies according to a budget.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas.
• Prepares and distributes the room assignment sheet and floor keys.
• Maintain clear lines of communication with the Front Office and other departments of the hotel .
• Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage.
• Inventory management of the stock required in cleaning and maintenance.
• Complete various additional tasks and assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Diploma in Hospitality/ Tourism Management of relevant field;
• A minimum of two years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience;
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills;
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds;
• Service oriented style with professional presentations skills;
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line;
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
• Willing to work all shifts; weekends, overnight and holidays.
• Physically able to do considerable amount of lifting, pushing, stretching and bending, with moderate amount of weight.
