Description
Join JP Morgan's Corporate Commodities Metals Sales team and work alongside leading sales and trading professionals in a fast-moving market.As an Analyst, you'll support delivery of metals solutions to our corporate client franchise - helping clients navigate metals markets and manage commodity risk-while building product expertise, commercial judgement, and client relationships within a collaborative, high-performing team.
Job responsibilities
- Support senior sales in managing and growing corporate client relationships across metals.
- Assist in structuring and delivering metals hedging and financing solutions.
- Analyze market trends, price moves, and client exposures to generate insights.
- Prepare client materials (presentations, proposals, trade ideas).
- Partner with trading, structuring, and risk to execute transactions efficiently.
- Track client activity and maintain accurate interaction/transaction records.
- Help identify new business opportunities within the corporate client base.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
- Strong analytical/quantitative skills; ability to interpret market data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong stakeholder management; ability to build relationships.
- Detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Resilient under pressure, with the ability to stay calm, focused, and solutions-oriented in a high-intensity, time-sensitive environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated interest in commodities/markets and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in commodities, sales, or financial services.
- Familiarity with metals markets, hedging instruments, and risk management.
- Experience supporting corporate or institutional clients.
- Knowledge of relevant commodities regulation.
- Additional languages relevant to key metals markets.
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
