Federal Grants Coordinator | Salary Range: $35.96 - $53.32 / hourly; $75,084 - $111,332 / annually
This position may have the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.
Our Federal Grants Coordinator position serves as a statewide subject matter expert responsible for managing, coordinating, and reporting on federal transit grants, as well as ensuring compliance with federal regulations and programs that support public transit systems in Greater Minnesota on behalf of MnDOT. The individual in this position will also:
- Provide expert consultation and coordination on transportation planning processes to MnDOT offices and districts, and serving as a liaison between MnDOT, federal agencies, and local units of government.
- Lead internal committees focused on transit-related issues, guiding them toward actionable outcomes and deliverables.
- Develop and deliver presentations that clearly communicate the purpose, process, and outcomes of planning efforts to a variety of audiences with differing perspectives on transportation issues.
- Manage resources and administering programs to meet federal transit program objectives, as well as developing innovative solutions to address complex transit challenges.
Requirements
Here are the Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of advanced professional transportation planning experience that demonstrates the following:
- Experience with planning principles, methods, and techniques sufficient to develop major statewide plans.
- Experience with grant management.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Experience in the use of financial analysis with spreadsheet or database applications.
- Experience with federal and state laws and regulations.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, Sociology, Political Science substitutes for six months of advanced professional experience.
