Description
The Facility Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Chilson Recreation Center by overseeing facility supervision, scheduling, rentals, custodial coordination, and program-related communications. This role ensures a consistent, safe, and highquality experience for all guests. Working collaboratively as part of the recreation facility management team, the coordinator helps maintain more than 100+ hours of weekly facility coverage and contributes to the smooth, efficient operation of all recreation services.
The salary range for this position is $60,133.00- $84,186.00 per hour with a hiring range of $60,133.00 - $72,159.00, depending on qualifications and experience.

Essential Functions:
Direct and manage building supervision and emergency response efforts in coordination with the Facility Management Team.
Oversee internal custodial operations and building setup activities; Supervise contracted janitorial services to ensure a clean, safe environment and support accidentprevention practices.
Schedule department classes, programs, and events. Promote, book and manage facility rentals and birthday parties.
Conduct daily facility walkthroughs. Ensure proper function and appearance of facility and document and address required janitorial or maintenance repairs.
Identify and implement innovative practices and stay current with industry trends.
Maintain accurate records and files.
Manage employee records and oversee training documentation and timesheets.
Deliver consistent, highquality guest service. Plan, assign, and direct work of others, as well as address and resolve guest concerns.
Hire, train, and supervise a team.
Ensure guests experience a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the Recreation Center.
Assist in selecting janitorial equipment and ensure adequate supplies are ordered and maintained.
Ensure AV equipment is functional and support setup for programs, classes, and activities.
Resolve administrative concerns. Apply appropriate policies and procedures and collaborate effectively with the team.
Other Job Functions:
Assist as needed with special projects.
May serve as department liaison on City and community committees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Level and Management Expectations:
Supervisor for Benefitted Employees:
Provides direct supervision to professional, technical, and skilled employees to assure accountability to department and organizational goals and objectives.
Focus on day-to-day operations and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
Interprets policies and exercises independent judgment and decision making within department.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Recreation or related field.
Experience:
2 years experience in commercial or public high traffic recreation or related facilities required.
2 years experience in staff management, program planning, and facility operations preferred.
Operational experience in customer service in a recreation related industry preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and or experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis.
Certifications:
Must be CPR and First Aid certified, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
CPRP/CPRE preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent customer services skills, and be able to interact successfully with co-workers, vendors, and the public
Working knowledge of a recreation facility and the ability to coordinate activities and programming.
Strong verbal and written communication skills along with math principles in generation of reports and correspondence required.
Must be computer literate.
Strong organizational skills required.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Frequent moderate to considerable physical effort that includes working from ladders in awkward positions. Frequent use of light or medium weight objects (e.g., 25-50 lbs) and use of medium weight tools.
Frequent exposure to routine office noise and equipment.
Occasional exposure to hazards that are predictable or well protected against.
Continuous Floating Holiday:
This position may work evenings, weekends, and holidays. As a result, the position is eligible for Continuous Floating Holiday.
