Description
The District Data Coordinator manages the accuracy, security, compliance, and reporting of student data within Skyward Student Management systems. This role supports state and federal reporting, data governance, assessments, and special program tracking while ensuring alignment with district, state, and federal requirements.
Requirements
High school graduation or equivalent plus some post-secondary education, including courses related to administrative, records maintenance.
Two years of office experience required.
Experience working with computers and proficient in the use of various software programs
Experience working with students and/or the public.
Experience with CEDARS, CRDC, NSE, and state/federal reporting systems
Knowledge of Bilingual/ELL, Title, 504, Migrant, and Native program data requirements
Experience supporting assessment data and integrated education platforms
Experience with Skyward’s Student Information System, Qmaltiv
Assure accurate student enrollment, attendance, demographic, scheduling, graduation, and grade data in Skyward
Ensure data integrity through regular audits, validation, and error resolution
Manage Skyward system security, including user roles, permissions, and access levels for staff, students, and families.
Administer and monitor P210 processes to ensure data security and compliance
Oversee 504 plan data entry, tracking, and reporting for compliance and accuracy
Track and maintain Native American/Alaska Native Title program forms, records, and data
Manage Bilingual/ELL student data and Bilingual counts for state and federal reporting
Prepare, validate, and submit CEDARS data in accordance with state requirements
Create, monitor, research, and submit NSE (New Student Enrollment) applications
Coordinate and submit CRDC (Civil Rights Data Collection) reports
Support and verify assessment data, including student enrollment and test participation within OSPI and multiple assessment application sites.
Design and maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, and data systems that allow staff to easily analyze and disaggregate student data by grade level, program participation, and student groups.
Train school assessment coordinators and specialized personnel for their roles in the assessment process.
Maintain and monitor student data between Skyward and Connected Ed
Ensure consistency and alignment of data across integrated systems
Provide training and technical support to district and school staff on Skyward processes, serving as the primary point of contact for all district staff.
Develop, maintain, and document procedures, data standards, and best practices for all district data systems maintained by this role, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all platforms.
Respond to internal and external data requests with accuracy and confidentiality
Ensure compliance with FERPA and district data governance policies
Collaborate with Student Services, Assessment, IT, Special Programs, Teaching and Learning, and school administration
Transform complex district data into clear visual reports, dashboards, and graphics that support reflection and decision-making by educators and leaders.
Serve as district liaison for state and federal data inquiries
Answer in-person or phone inquiries from students, parents, staff, and the public.
Working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of common office equipment is required.
Assist other office personnel as needed to support their work activities.
Must be able to ensure and maintain confidentiality of information.
Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Terms of Employment
Five days a week; 7 hours/day; 227 days/year
Salary range is $32.83/hr.-$40.00/hr., Depending on education and experience
Benefits in accordance with the SEBB/Health Care Authority (Medical, Dental, Vision, LTD, Life insurance)
For qualifying positions, employees are offered enrollment with the Washington State Retirement Plan
