Our Director, Business Development will play a crucial role in contributing to and executing strategy to drive revenue and growth, through leadership of the sales development function focused on full cycle new business opportunity generation for our SaaS solutions. You will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing the business development team responsible for driving execution excellence, exceptional customer experience, and top of funnel metrics required to achieve revenue targets.
You'll Get To:
Develop and execute an operating business plan that achieves the revenue objectives of the aligned sales organization.
Deliver operational excellence across the business development team with defined objectives, metrics, analysis and planning, and a regular reporting and accountability rhythm.
Recruit, hire, develop and manage an effective, competent, and motivated team to accomplish and even exceed the assigned objectives.
Lead teams that will accelerate midmarket and enterprise level opportunities, develop viable pipeline and increase our client base.
Act as a coach and leader to business development by building and advancing standard process sharing and networking strategies and capabilities.
Lead cross-functional collaboration by working closely with cross-functional leaders, such as in Sales and Marketing, to foster a cohesive approach to market expansion and business development.
Implement transformational change to enhance efficiency, productivity, and performance.
Refine reporting and dashboards to ensure metrics are optimized, easily understood, and accessible to key team members.
Understand competitive landscape by proactively identifying customer needs and performing ongoing market analysis to stay ahead of the competitive landscape.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals of the sales organization.
What You'll Need:
12+ years of demonstrated successful sales and/or lead generation leadership roles, sales experience in a SaaS environment, managing complex sales, preferably with Small/Mid-Market accounts.
Proven experience managing an Inside Sales team in a complex sales environment working closely with Account Executives to move deals through the sales cycle, highly preferred.
Strong understanding of sales processes, including lead generation, pipeline management, and CRM (e.g. Salesforce)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
Data analysis skills to interpret performance metrics and make informed decisions.
Experience recruiting, training, and developing sales talent.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
The annual on-target earnings (base pay + commission) for the Director of Business Development are $235,000 - $265,000, depending upon your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Salary is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for an incentive compensation plan. The expected hiring salary for this position is:
