- Development Coordinator
Description
This is a 28-hour/week part-time hourly position that plays a key role in advancing The Friendship Center’s fundraising and stewardship efforts. This position provides essential coordination, systems support, and donor communications that strengthen relationships with supporters and ensure effective development operations. An integral member of the development team, the Development Coordinator supports donor stewardship, gift processing, data integrity, and fundraising activities while contributing to a positive and mission-driven donor experience. This role works in a trauma-informed environment and is supported by organizational policies, training, and supervision to promote staff well-being.

Requirements
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support donor stewardship efforts through timely acknowledgements, participation in donor events, and communicating with donors as needed
- Process donations accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain donor records, gift tracking, and data integrity within the donor database
- Generate reports and mailing lists to support fundraising and stewardship activities
- Assist with planning, tracking, and follow-up for appeals, grants, sponsorships, and special events
- Provide logistical and administrative support and communication for fundraising campaigns and events
- Coordinate with staff and volunteers to support development and agency activities as needed
- Manage social media platforms
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required:
- We welcome lived and/or community experience in lieu of traditional credentials
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, communications, and/or marketing
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Knowledge or familiarity with nonprofit development practices and principles
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong story telling skills preferred
- Commitment to leading with curiosity

- Experience with building trust and fostering authentic relationships

- Ability to navigate situations that may involve personal and professional conflict

- Must be able to perform physical labor as needed, such as setting up events and lifting supplies
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and databases/CRMs
- Possess a valid Montana driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
- Successful background check required
