Requirements
The Imperial Irrigation District a public utility located in southeastern CA is seeking to hire a Compliance Administrator I to serve as the District expert and project lead for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) processes; direct compliance management activities, including policy development, control implementation, and ongoing monitoring, to meet all legal and regulatory obligations; provide guidance, direct activities, and set procedural expectations for department staff regarding administrative practices and program compliance; analyze existing and proposed environmental regulations affecting water and energy operations and infrastructure; collaborate with technical subject matter experts (SME) in developing and monitoring compliance of operational and environmental regulatory compliance programs; oversee the work performed by consultants and technical specialists and the promotion of district policies, programs and initiatives through liaison, communication, coordination and interaction with federal, state and regional governmental agencies. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, business, public administration or related and two years of directly experience in management of NEPA and CEQA processes, or leadership experience implementing complex projects, that involve integrating NEPA and CEQA compliance into broader project management objectives.
Progressively responsible directly related experience may be substituted for the required education at the ratio of two years of experience for one year of education required.
