Job Summary The Community Outreach Coordinator manages the organization's community outreach efforts. This position partners with the school district, the city, local companies, area employees, and other facilities' personnel. This position also helps manage the daily operations of the Community Outreach Department. Essential Functions of the Role * Plans, organizes, and coordinates various programs and events. These could include immunization clinics, sports physicals, major screenings, health fairs, and work-site health promotions. * Receives requests for events and assesses for participation. * Coordinates event promotions and screening notifications. * Inputs any necessary data and prepares all appropriate reports. * Coordinates and directs activities during events. * Maintains records for budgeting needs and community benefit reporting. * Maintains current records of all participants in community outreach activities. Communicates regularly with individuals to assist with community benefit reporting requirements. * Collects required information and enters it into the community benefit database. Prepares summary and detailed reports and shares them with various audiences. * Manages the day-to-day department operations within budgetary allowances. * Prepares all required financial reports. * Assists in the supervision of Community Outreach staff. Key Success Factors * Exceptional communication skills, both verbally and in writing. * Excellent interpersonal skills that encourages relationship building with a diverse group. * Requires capacity building and advocacy skills. * Exceptional teaching skills. * Organizational skills required. * Must be computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Office products. * Ability to effectively mentor new community health workers. Belonging Statement We believe that all people should feel welcomed, valued and supported. *QUALIFICATIONS* * EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification * EXPERIENCE - 3 Years of Experience * Active Texas Licensed Dietitian (LD) and current RD/RDN credential highly preferred. * Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred to effectively communicate with a diverse populations
