CIVIL WORKS COORDINATOR
Full time 3 year fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension
Generous remuneration package up to $161,000 depending on experience, which includes:

About the Civil Works Coordinator role:
The Civil Works Coordinator is a critical role at the City of Busselton, with responsibility for coordinating the construction and maintenance of the City’s significant civil assets, ensuring the efficient delivery of capital works projects, and ongoing civil asset maintenance through scheduled maintenance plans. You will need to apply your well-developed project management and technical skills to provide technical input to major civil projects, effectively manage contracts and contractors, and monitor and maintain financial control for reporting to executive and council. You will also need to apply your strong leadership skills to lead, mentor and direct a large team.
Your operational responsibilities will include:

- Developing, controlling and updating capital works and operational programs and schedules
- Providing full technical support to the Manager Civil Infrastructure
- Developing project documentation including scope and technical specifications
- Undertaking preliminary site and feasibility studies
- Preparing project reports and stakeholder communications
- Managing external contracts and the procurement of other goods and services
- Ensuring relevant workplace health and safety procedures and documentation are in place and adhered to
What you will bring to the role:
You will have extensive experience in civil construction and maintenance, along with a relevant tertiary qualification. In addition you will have:
Demonstrated project management experience, including securing pre-requisite approvals, scheduling, technical oversight and cost control.
Demonstrated contract management skills including specification development, procurement and administration.
Proven ability to understand and assess technical issues related to civil construction and maintenance works.
Well-developed team leadership experience including confident conflict resolution skills.
