Business development specialist: conduct market research across state, national, &online transportation markets to assess demand for freight services; collect & analyze data on shipper demographics, industry preferences, & logistics needs to identify potential customer segments & factors influencing demand for trucking services; identify new business opportunities, service lanes, & value-added logistics solutions: evaluate the effectiveness of marketing & advertising strategies & forecast trends in freight demand, marketing performance, & sales activity: monitor competitor carriers by analyzing their pricing, service offerings, sales tactics, & distribution methods: implement procedures for determining advertising requirements & supporting business development initiatives. 40hrs/wk.
