Our client is a leading Independent Power Producer - one of the largest in Africa. Backed by strong DFI's they play at the forefront of renewable deployment on the African continent.

Due to growth, they are seeking an experienced professional skilled with a solid background in merges and acquisitions in the renewables market AND Africa (preferably buy-side).

The role does not involve origination, but is responsible for leading a team of consultants and technical experts to provide solid due diligence, while applying an innovative and creative mind in order to make projects bankable at the cheapest cost. Experience in Project Finance is a must.

The role will play across technologies including gas, and is predominately focused in English speaking Africa.

Role ideally based in Cape Town but London can also be accommodated.

5-7 years renewable energy project development experience with a strong Project Finance understanding

At least 2 closed acquisitions (or one if your experience covers the entire lifecycle)

Experience in Solar, Wind, Gas, BESS (Battery Storage), Hydropower, CCGT, OCGT, Thermal Energy, Coal - infrastructure that involves grid/transmission access

Solid understanding of the African electricity markets
