Job Purpose
The SG Receivables Product Manager is a key member of the Singapore Payables, Receivables & Information Management Product team. The role manages a comprehensive suite of receivables-related products and solutions for Large and Mid-Corporates, SMEs, and financial institutions.
The focus areas include Platform Services, Paper & Pricing products, and associated platforms and solutions.
The candidate will drive product strategy, development, and commercialization to ensure profitability, competitiveness, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute robust product strategies for receivable solutions, with a strong emphasis on digitalization, regulatory compliance, and emerging market trends.
- Portfolio Management: Manage the receivables portfolio, encompassing business outcomes, strategic planning, market and competitive analysis, end-to-end product development, and effective commercialization.
- Financial Performance: Formulate and implement effective pricing strategies and commercialization plans to ensure sustained profitability while maintaining a competitive market position.
- Innovation & Growth: Identify and capitalize on opportunities to drive innovation, revenue growth, and increased transaction volumes within the payments sector. Prioritize and leverage digital innovations and disruptions to develop and launch cutting-edge banking solutions.
- Sales & Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to develop compelling customer value propositions, pitch books, marketing materials, and comprehensive training resources.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with both internal and external stakeholders, leading customer and partnership interactions, conducting technical workshops, delivering trainings, and participating in other industry-related activities.
- Capability Development: Drive new capabilities and initiatives specifically for domestic payment solutions, with a strong focus on digitization, ensuring regulatory compliance, and responding to market developments within the broader payment ecosystem.
- End-to-End Product Development: Oversee the complete product development lifecycle, from ideation and defining user requirements to developing business cases and collaborating seamlessly with technology and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of customer journeys and solutions.
- Technological Assessment: Monitor technological advancements and meticulously assess their potential to effectively address real customer issues and pain points within the domestic payments' domain.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular and in-depth analyses of the competitive landscape, including pricing, services, and features, to optimize the market positioning of our product offerings.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensure that robust processes and controls are meticulously established and maintained for effective risk mitigation and full compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
- Client Solutions: Provide expert guidance and thought leadership on receivables capabilities and sophisticated client solution structuring for key mandates.
Required Experience
- 6 to 10 years of experience in transaction banking or major payment institutions, covering payments and/or receivables products.
- Strong knowledge of both cross-border and domestic payment schemes and understanding of FinTech innovations and disruptions.
- Well-versed in SWIFT messaging standards and alternative payment methods; knowledge of SWIFT reporting standards is a plus.
- Experience in process review, analysis, redesign, and improvement is an advantage.
- Demonstrated strong execution capabilities and proven experience partnering with technical teams.
- Deep understanding of relationships and interdependencies across product groups and business units.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically to solve complex problems.
- Proven ability to drive execution and manage multiple stakeholders and functions.
- Strong customer and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with leadership qualities for managing projects and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and decision-making.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple priorities.
