Associate Product Manager (AI Product / Tokyo)

We are hiring an Associate Product Manager to join a next-generation AI product team building tools for the staffing industry in Japan.

This is a hands-on role focused on Product Discovery - not just documentation, but real field research and business immersion.

What You'll Be Working On

You'll contribute to AI-powered products such as:

• AI Recruiter Agents (agentic workflows automating job order to shortlist processes)
• AI-driven interview solutions scaling hiring nationwide

You'll work in a small, startup-like, cross-functional team with strong senior guidance.

What You'll Actually Do

• Visit staffing company offices and observe real operations
• Conduct interviews with recruiters and sales teams
• Plan and execute user research (interviews, surveys, observational studies)
• Research competitors and market trends
• Structure insights into clear documentation and reports
• Analyze product metrics (SQL / BI tools preferred)
• Support PRDs and product specifications

This is a roll-up-your-sleeves PM role - ideal for someone who enjoys being close to users and business reality.

✅ Must-Have

• ~3 years experience in Product, Business Planning, Consulting, Marketing, or User Research
• Hands-on quantitative data analysis experience (SQL or BI preferred)
• Strong Japanese communication skills (verbal & written, N1 or native level)
• Comfortable working on-site in Tokyo (2-3 days/week)

Nice to Have

• Experience in staffing / HR / recruitment industry
• Experience in tech product development
• Working-level English
