Payments Solutions Germany, in close coordination with GPS Headquarters, drives the execution of UniCredit Group's strategy in Transactional Payments, Cash Management, Acquiring, and Issuing. This includes all customer segments under the coverage of UniCredit Bank GmbH. Our goal is to deliver competitive, innovative, and future-ready products and services aligned with market trends, technological advancements, and the evolving competitive landscape.
Within the Issuing and Acquiring domain of Client Solutions, we design and implement forward-lookin g card products and solutions for both private and corporate customers. Through Project ONE and other strategic group-wide initiatives, we are reshaping our product portfolio with a strong focus on digital intelligence and customer-centr ic experiences.
What you'll be doing
- Design, develop, and launch innovative card products and payment solutions aligned with UniCredit Group's strategic goals and customer needs.
- Drive revenue growth and optimize profitability of the card issuing portfolio, including detailed analysis of active and passive commissions in collaboration with Accounting, Planning, and Cost Management.
- Develop business cases for new initiatives, assessing their financial viability and strategic relevance.
- Coordinate sales activities across UniCredit Bank GmbH channels to ensure effective product distribution.
- Deliver customer-centric solutions with intuitive user experiences, strong support structures, and value-added services.
- Ensure full compliance of the card issuing portfolio with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS, PSD2).
- Lead operational, regulatory, and strategic projects to enhance the card portfolio.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Sales, Operations, CRM, Finance, and external partners to achieve business objectives.
- Act as the product expert for internal and external communications (e.g., business desktop, sales materials, corporate websites).
- Prepare commercial reports, presentations, and strategic insights for senior management and board-level discussions.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidate Profile
- University degree in Economics or a comparable qualification.
- Extensive experience and deep knowledge of the card issuing business.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with excellent conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects across regulatory, operational, and strategic dimensions.
- High level of accountability, ownership, and team orientation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
