About the job
As an integral member of our team, as an Account Manager, Energy Separation Service, you will play a pivotal role in managing assigned larger customer accounts for Alfa Laval's high speed separators, decanters and plate heat exchangers. You will have the opportunity to develop strong professional business relationships with your assigned accounts, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization. This opportunity is located in Houston, Texas.
As a part of the team, you will:
- Develop action plans to support regaining customers and execute plan.
- Analyze install base, what challenges they have, and competitors, etc.
- Proactively follows up with customers to pursue further business driven by Install Base (IB) data analytics.
- Prepare and assist in preparing operational instructions or training material for the customer.
- Conduct the actual training for specific customer issues.
- Handle fields service inquiries and requests that are received from existing customer base.
- Perform initial assessment on customer's Service need and determines course of actions.
- Assess customer performance issues; seek subject matter expertise within company to resolve issues; ownership and follow through issue resolutions Service Sales.
- Apply technical knowledge, experience, and judgment to resolution of customer performance issues.
- Recommend which parts or services are required to resolve the problem.
- Identify solutions and provide information concerning the function of company products and non-company products.
- Support Logistics teams in quote process. Create quotations for complex and basic repairs of product portfolio and upgrades; represent/sell quotes to customer.
- Use internal resources for support in complex quotes.
- Follow up on all quotations within predetermined values in a timely and professional manner to maximize quotation conversion rates.
- Develop proactive relationship with Service Sales team, Operations, and other internal departments.
- Manage customer Service Agreements.
- Follow up and secure Service Agreements and spare parts opportunities from capital sales orders, closely coordinating with capital sales team.
- Responsible for Terms and Conditions reviews and approvals and Non-Disclosure agreement reviews.
What you know:
You have Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and:
- Minimum 3 years of related experience performing engineering service for high speed separators, decanters and plate heat exchangers
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Drivers License is required. The position requires domestic travel.
